The Veteran Tribute Bike traveled to Sarasota to lend its support to Suncoast Charities for children as well as to try and raise funds to help my homeless Vet brothers.

The weather was brisk to put it mildly, but the cause was good.

The cold weather definitely kept many at home but those who did come out seemed to enjoy themselves and took the cold weather in stride. Dressed up in their leather chaps and jackets made me feel right at home being from up north originally.

I met lots of old acquaintances as well as new friends. All and all it was a nice day. The Veteran Tribute Bike won 1st. Place in its class ( American Pride Class) again this year and its always nice to bring home a trophy for my fund raising efforts.

I donated 30% of the total money I collected for my homeless Vet brothers to the Suncoast Charities for children for after all, the event was to raise funds for the kids. Since its inception , more than $725,000 has been raised from the festival to help Suncoast Charities , a non profit agency supporting local charities serving children with special needs such as special Olympics , Loveland Center, Community Haven and Adult Center, The Florida Center, and United Cerebral Palsy. I was glad to be able to help even though I wish I had raised more money for both causes. Every dollar counts . I did my heart well. I look forward to returning once again next year and hopefully will raises more funds for all these needed causes.

God Bless all who donated.
God Bless America, Land of the free because of the brave.
